It’s officially midway into October which means Halloween will be here before we know it. If you didn’t read my previous posts from last week I finally took the plunge and got my first DSLR. I’m still learning the ropes so bear with me ya’ll. I created this space to be encouraging towards other mamas with style, food and any kid related aspects.

I meant to post this a few days back but in between having really bad asthma and a cold I just couldn’t. I wanted to give all my condolences to all the mommies and babies out there. The babies that are in gods hands due to extenuating circumstances.

Since the age of 19 I’ve struggled with my weight due to having PCOS. I lost 50 pounds and within six months I found out I was pregnant. At my 9.5 week appointment I later discovered I had a missed miscarriage. During that time I honestly wasn’t ready much to be a mom as I was now that I am now. But it still devastated me.

It changed me, my attitude and my life forever as it did my now husband. After getting a d&c it took some time but I began to be okay. Then long behold was conceived. I just couldn’t believe how God works in mysterious ways. Now four years later I am struggling again with my weight loss due to birth control complications but that’s something I’ve dealt with.

I have accepted and become comfortable in my postpartum body but, due to further complications I have to continue losing weight. I will always be working hard to my weight loss goal even if it is to be healthy enough to conceive another. My goal is to be healthy and happy for my home.

To take that in turn my fashion sense has changed a bit since becoming a mom. I’ve become that more casual style, converse wearing mama. You won’t see me wearing a pair of heels but more booties with maybe a heel and I’m okay with that. Anything to keep me stylish, sane but still keep that sahm look fresh.

Did you struggle with weight loss after childbirth? Have you lost due a miscarriage? Do you suffer from PCOS?

Tell me in the comments.

I’m 4 months postpartum. I was lucky that almost all weight came off immediately without doing anything. However, I am having a hard time now finding time to exercise like I used to or even cooking anything besides frozen stuff or cereal. Fashion-wise, I am lucky that I work from home most days, so sweatpants are usually in play! But on the weekends, I am slacking in style when I go out!

I gained a huge amount of weight in my first pregnancy and worked hard to lose it. The next two pregnancies I ate a lot healthier and did not gain as much, still hard to lose it after and even when I did lose weight, there are a lot of changes to a women’s body that are just not going to be the same. I had to accept that and be happy with who I am.
