This time of year can feel like cabin fever galore. You end up stuck inside for who knows how long especially when it comes to the kiddos and this New England weather. Plus with A and his ADHD, it can be so crazy. That’s why we are always aiming for 12 things to do this Winter with ADHD kids.
I had no idea that four and five years old would be worse than being a threenager or even four years old? The tude I get in some instances is like “whoa hold up”. Then I remember mixing that with his ADHD can mean a whole mess of emotions. Which is why I’m all for diverting his attention. That’s why I’m sharing some great Winter activities to do with the kiddos during the Winter.
12 things to do this Winter with ADHD kids
1. Snow Tubing
2. Visit Legoland Discovery Center
We love visiting our local center . Now The Lego Movie II is out they even have a whole exhibit dedicated to the movie.
3. Play out in the snow
Our first snowfall at the new house was the best. A had a blast playing outdoors in the snow.
4. Dinosaur sensory bin
5. Bake together
6. Go sledding
7. Visit the Ice Castles
We loved visiting the Ice Castles in Lincoln, NH. Read all about our trip HERE
8. Go see a matinee
Now that A is on school vacation this week we can go see The Lego Movie 2.
9. Craft time
With A and his ADHD it can be impossible to have craft time some days. When he walks up to me and says, mom, I want to make a craft I am all for it.
10. Face Masks
11. Make a car out of an old big box
12. Go ice skating
We love doing all of these. If not he gets a bit stir crazy which makes me crazy. What’s one of the best Winter activities you love to do with your kiddos?
